David is a good guy, just like anyone else. But when he accidentally kills a young girl, he discovers a darker side to himself. Killing, it turns out, can be addicting.
His mercy killings are really a service to the victims, their families, and even the community, but as his victims stack up, he can’t quite shake his fixation on the family of his first casualty.
He follows in the shadows as Claudia struggles to find closure after her daughter is killed. For years, she searches for healing at the bottom of the bottle. David watches her lose her job and destroy her family, but when she bonds with another grieving mother, he thinks his work is done.
